Conference: Inspiring Citizen-Driven Actions for Nature-Based Cities (8th June 2018)

How can citizen-driven, nature-based solutions- including becoming pesticide-free, lead to greener and healthier cities? How can the European Commission and European networks support an enabling framework where cities and towns can implement such solutions for better health and resilience of its citizens?

These are some of the questions to be discussed with practitioners from exciting cities - including European Green Capitals - and networks. The event is co-organised by PAN Europe and ICLEI-Local Governments for Sustainability in partnership with European Economic and Social Committee/The Sustainable Development Observatory (SDO). The event is an official partner event of the EU Green Week 2018 "Green Cities for a Grener Future".

Web-streaming will be available in EN, DE, FR and IT.

A special feature will be a pop-up exhibition called "Tackling Goliath: How One Small Town Banned Pesticides, Preserved Its Food Heritage, and Inspired a Movement".

The morning event will end with a sustainable networking lunch with plenty of networking possibilities.
