Verbied glyfosaat en bescherm mens en milieu tegen giftige bestrijdingsmiddelen
Join us to call on the European Commission to ban the use of glyphosate in Europe, to reform the industry-biased pesticide approval procedure, and to set EU-wide mandatory reduction targets for pesticide use.
BELANGRIJKSTE DOELSTELLINGEN:
- Op glyfosaat gebaseerde onkruidbestrijdingsmiddelen verbieden, want blootstelling daaraan wordt in verband gebracht met kanker bij mensen en tast ecosystemen aan;
- Zorg dat de wetenschappelijke beoordeling van bestrijdingsmiddelen voor de wettelijke toelating in de EU uitsluitend wordt gebaseerd op openbare studies, die zijn uitgevoerd in opdracht van bevoegde overheidsinstanties in plaats van de pesticidenindustrie;;
- Leg bindende EU- doelstellingen vast om het gebruik van bestrijdingsmiddelen te verminderen, met het oog op een pesticidenvrije toekomst.
